The 24-hour rule
Sort resources into four buckets
Routine costs
Travel, basic supplies, and clear progression requirements.
Enhancement materials
Check transfer systems and replacement speed before investing.
Stigma and reset items
Test the build before concentrating scarce upgrades.
Premium currency
Never spend from urgency, pop-ups, or launch-week comparison.
Bound and tradable currency
Regional updates introduced bound Kinah earned through quests, duties, NPC sales, Sealed Dungeons, and Strongholds, while regular Kinah retained other sources. Confirm which systems and restrictions reach the global client.
Build a launch-week resource ledger
| Track | Write down | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Quest, dungeon, weekly task, shop, or event | Separates renewable income from one-time rewards |
| Limit | Daily, weekly, seasonal, or none | Shows what cannot be quickly replaced |
| Binding | Character, account, server, or tradable | Prevents claiming value on the wrong character |
| Competing uses | Gear, skills, resets, crafting, or cosmetics | Reveals the real opportunity cost |
| Reserve target | A minimum amount you will not cross | Protects against a newly unlocked requirement |
Before every large purchase
Ask: Is it bound? Is the item temporary? Can the upgrade transfer? Is the resource time-gated? Does another system use it? Can I earn it repeatedly?
