Full launch is scheduled for October 5, 2026.
The global version is PC-only through Steam and NC's PURPLE platform.
The official pre-release FAQ confirms server locations in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan.
The global client confirms English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Japanese, and Korean.

Exact opening time, preload window, server list, platform-specific languages, and global system requirements should be rechecked on the official channels. Do not copy dates from the earlier Korea/Taiwan launch.

1. Account and client

Choose Steam or PURPLE Use the storefront and account ecosystem you expect to keep long term. Avoid creating duplicate progress by accident. Secure the linked account Use a unique password and enable available account protection before launch traffic begins. Wishlist or preregister through an official channel This keeps launch notices visible and avoids unofficial download pages. Watch for the confirmed preload announcement Preload timing for the global client should come from NC, PURPLE, or Steam.

2. Region and server

Pick the nearest supported region Latency matters in AION 2's manual, timing-focused combat. Start with geography, not a streamer list. Coordinate with friends before choosing Agree on region, server, and faction together; switching later may split the group. Prepare one backup server A backup avoids rushed decisions if queues or population limits affect your first choice. Confirm faction restrictions at launch AION's Elyos and Asmodian choice shapes starting areas and faction-based play. Verify global rules before locking in.

3. Class and character

Unsure which class to commit to? Use the Class Decision Helper before you lock in a role, range, or backup choice.

Choose a primary role Decide whether you want damage, tanking, healing, or flexible support before comparing individual classes. Choose melee or ranged combat This preference usually matters longer than an early tier-list position. Keep one backup class If the global roster or terminology differs, a second option prevents launch-day indecision. Save two or three character names Prepare variants without special characters in case your first name is unavailable.

4. PC and settings

Leave enough storage headroom Wait for official global requirements, then reserve extra space for unpacking and the first patches. Update graphics drivers Do this before launch day so troubleshooting does not compete with queues. Close unnecessary overlays and background apps Start from a clean baseline, then re-enable extras one at a time. Plan initial keybinds Prioritize movement, dodge, core skills, targeting, and consumables; refine after real combat.

5. Your first hour

Finish settings before chasing progression Confirm resolution, frame rate, audio cues, camera sensitivity, and control comfort first. Read skill behavior, not only damage numbers Look for movement, control, defensive, and resource interactions as the tutorial introduces them. Avoid irreversible spending Save scarce currency and upgrade materials until the global systems and early priorities are understood. Stop and verify unexpected offers Launch periods attract fake downloads, giveaways, and account links. Use official channels only.
