NC confirms Steam can access an existing character when you sign in with its associated NC account. Purchase and refund portability remain separate questions.
Advanced Access checks
Pack not recognized
Confirm the Founder’s Pack was purchased on the same Steam or NC account used to launch the release client. Do not repurchase before checking account identity and store history.
Encrypted files or launch failure
Restart Steam once, confirm SSD headroom, and verify the release-client files. The old Playtest App is a separate client and should be removed.
Server at capacity
Stay in a moving queue unless an official notice says otherwise. Reconnecting can lose position; priority-queue access does not guarantee immediate entry.
Founder items or mounts missing
Check the correct account, region, server, character, and in-game mail before contacting support. Keep receipts and redacted screenshots.

A notice for another region, test client, or launcher may not apply to the global release.

Steam and PURPLE share servers and in-game content. Steam can be used without linking a PURPLE account; linking is required to use the same character and progress on both platforms. Korean and Taiwanese progress does not transfer to Global.
The game is free to play with an optional membership, cosmetics and Battle Pass. Official device support covers Windows PC through Steam or PURPLE. Controllers are playable but not officially supported; Linux and Steam Deck have no official support.
NC also announced War for Atreia: six creator teams representing both factions, Discord team roles and community clips using #WarOfAtreia. Official promotion is selective.
October 1 client fix: access and purchases
NC has released a fix for Early Access entitlement recognition and reported in-game purchase problems. There is no downtime; restart the client to apply the update. Account-linking issues are still being investigated. See safe troubleshooting steps and the official fix announcement.
October 1 maintenance completed
NC has confirmed that maintenance is over and all servers are back online. The original schedule started at 06:00 UTC with an estimated duration of 1.5 hours; that estimate is not a confirmed completion timestamp. The notice says compensation will arrive through in-game mail later today, but does not specify its contents or an exact delivery time.
The maintenance addressed quest-object interaction bottlenecks in Elyos Hero Quests around Northern and Eastern Tolbas Forest and Altamia Highland, and Asmodian Hero Quests around Basfelt Ruins, Purifying Forest, Fafnite Deposit and Impetusium Square.
